Masking Tapes

Paper Masking Tapes is a type of adhesive tapes which is made from thin easy to tear paper and an easily released pressure sensitive adhesive. This tapes is available in a variety of widths. It is used mainly in painting to mask off the areas that should not be painted. The adhesive is the key element to its usefulness, as it allows the tapes to be easily removed without leaving residue or damaging the surface on which it is applied.

STICOL™ Masking Tapes comes with different grades like Paint grade, Furniture grade, automobile paint grade and High temperature resistance grade. The adhesion value and thickness of the paper has to be adjusted according to application.

Film Masking Tapes constructed with plastic films ( Polyester / PVC / Polyimide film) instead of paper and can be used for more rigorous applications. Polyester based tapes are used to mask off during etching, plating, and powder coating.

Special kinds of soft PVC Film with high grades of Rubber adhesive used as Fine line Masking Tapes for critical curve are masking application in automobile painting.
